After months of longing and various rumors, a story DLC expansion has been finally announced for the Elden Ring and is titled the Shadow of the Erdtree which is currently under development by FromSoftware and Bandai Namco. This long-awaited announcement about the DLC comes after the first anniversary of the popular Souls game. The DLC expansion was confirmed and announced by the official Twitter account of the Elden Ring. The news announced the DLC expansion with concept art and stated that it is currently in development. The concept art featured a figure with long blonde hair riding the Torrent horse and looking at what seems like a Dying Erdtree.

While the DLC announcement tweet was pretty limited and short, the official Japanese Elden Ring site ensured that the “follow-up report is a little ahead“. So, we can expect more details about the DLC over time. The Japanese site also confirmed that the Shadow of the Erdtree will be coming out on platforms including the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, & Windows PC via Steam.
