Throughout Fallout 4, you’re going to find a ton of junk all around. If you want to have a cool base then cleaning it up is mandatory. The junk all around is definitely going to give some unwanted figures an idea that you probably aren’t all that you’re cracked up to be. However, scrapping junk in this game is a bit tricky if you haven’t done it before. In this guide, we will show you how to scrap junk the right way in Fallout 4.

How to Scrap Junk in Fallout 4

There are different kinds of junk that you can scrap in the game. There are of three types in the game. Each one requires a different method of scrapping based on various factors like size, weight, etc. We will show you how to scrap all of them in this guide.

How to Scrap Settlement Items (Rusted Cars, Metal Trees, etc)

You can scrap settlement junk by opening up your build menu and following these steps:

  • Go to the Workshop/View button
  • Press R
  • You will now scrap all of your settlement items

If you’ve done it right then you will get a few items in your Workshop inventory.

How to Scrap Weapons And Armor

You can scrap weapons and armor by visiting the applicable crafting station. Locate the weapons that you want to scrap and then press the scrap button on the bottom of your screen. This will lead your character to scrap the armor or weapons in Fallout 4.

How to Scrap Other Junk in Fallout 4

If you see other junk that you want to scrap then go to the JUNK tab of your pip-boy. All of the useless, remaining trash that you have overflowing can be scrapped through this.
