Saving the Mole is a pickup mission in Escape from Tarkov wherein you are tasked with securing a Hard Drive. The hard drive belongs to a scientist who used to work at TerraGroup and is a former colleague of the task giver. TerraGroup had accused that scientist of being a mole and hence a USEC task force was sent to take him under custody. It is unknown whether the scientist was caught or not, but you have to find him and collect the Hard Drive.
To perfectly complete this mission, we will tell you where you can find the scientist and collect the hard drive. So if you are up for some real extraction work, this is the right time to get started.
How to Complete Saving the Mole Mission
Before we get down to business, here are all the objectives that you are supposed to complete in this mission:
- Locate the USEC PMC group inside TerraGroup Complex’s Parking Area
- Locate the lab scientist in the Complex
- Get access to the Science Office
- Collect the scientist’s hard drive

Locate USEC PMC Group in TerraGroup Complex’s Parking Lot
- First of all, head over to the TerraGroup Complex (refer to the image above) on the Ground Zero map.
- To find the existence of the USEC PMC, you must enter the parking garage (or parking lot).
- There, you can find a white-colored Van with TerraGroup written on it.
- Walk over to that van to complete the first objective of the Saving the Mole mission.
Locate the Scientist in the TerraGroup Complex
- In order to find the scientist, enter the building through the entrance next to the van.
- Take a right turn and keep walking until you enter the main entrance hall.
- Next, walk through the door located to the left of a cat statue.
- From there, take a left turn and you shall find the scientist’s corpse under the debris.
- Collect the TerraGroup’s Science Office Key from his corpse so you can get access to the Science Office.
Get Access to the Science Office & Collect Hard Drive
Now that you have found the key, you can unlock the door to the Science Office at TerraGroup Complex’s first floor. The office is located in Room Number 4.
Therein, you can find the Hard Drive lying on the table. So after collecting it, you can extract and complete your job successfully. However, be sure to stay out of harm’s way. Because if you die with the Hard Drive in your Inventory, you will have to start all over again.
