You, the Player, will be playing as Takuma and will be the main character of the Story. At a certain point, Ryo falls into trouble and will require your assistance to save him. How to Save Ryo in Digimon Survive
In Digimon Survive, there will be a scene where you will have to save Ryo as he falls into trouble. He is saved by Haru but only for the time being. The Scene takes place in a forested area in the Digital World of Digimon. Here Ryo loses his mind and is about to plunge into the arms of Darkness. That’s where you and your Crew come in to save the day. Before this point, you will have to talk to Ryo a lot and get his affinity high. This means that you will have to side with him in decision-making as well as be friendly towards him.
As such, this will lead you to an option that you will have to make to save him. You will get a prompt with 3 options. The prompt is to say, “Ryo’s in trouble! Do we help?!“. Among those options, you will see the option, “Of course, we’ll help!“. You will have to click on that. This will begin a cutscene where Ryo snaps out of his disappearance with the help of Kunemon and your Crew. This dispels the Darkness nearby and saves Ryo from trouble.
This is how you can save Ryo in Digimon Survive. Make sure to have a high Affinity with him. You can do this by saving your game before talking to him and clicking on the right answers.
