Octopath Traveler II is a role-playing game by Square Enix and Acquire that revolves around eight separate characters. While it will take a long time to complete the game, it can take even more time to explore the world of Solistia. Due to these reasons, several players are wondering if they can manually save their game. Although OT 2 features an auto-save function, it’s understandable if players want to ensure and save their game data manually. So, check out our guide on how to save in Octopath Traveler 2.
How to Save Your Game in Octopath Traveler 2
You can save your Octopath Traveler 2 progress by interacting with the Save points around towns and overworld areas. The save points are typically the pillars with an open book on top of them. You will also see a quill icon hovering over the book. You need to approach these pillars and examine them to save your game progress. As you examine these save points during the game, you have to confirm to overwrite your file.
You can also find the Save points near the Dungeons before facing bosses in OT 2. But if you couldn’t find these save points, we recommend checking the mini-map. You will find different quill icons around the area indicating the Save points. You can either walk or travel to these save points to save your progress. Aside from manually saving your game, you can also rely on Auto-save. This feature saves your game while you transition between towns and other main areas.
So, the chances of you losing your progress are relatively low (But not zero). Furthermore, there are also different save slots available. You can overwrite an existing or a new slot to save the game. In total, there are eight save slots for overwriting your saved data.
