Having a secondary job allows your character to wear the outfit of their new job, and use its weapons and skills. The best part is unlocking them isn’t tough at all. How to Unlock Secondary Jobs in Octopath Traveler 2
To unlock Secondary Jobs in this game your characters will need a job license for it. To get this license you need to find the guild related to the Job. So for example, if you want a character’s secondary job to be Cleric, then you need them to get the license from Clerics Guild. The process in itself is very easy:
- Go to the guild of the secondary job that you want.
- Talk to the guild master and they will give you the job license.
- Give this License to the character that you want to have that secondary job.
- You will now unlock the secondary job for that character.
If you want more licenses for the same secondary job but for other characters, then you should complete tasks for the guilds. Each guild will give you two tasks, that let you get two more licenses. As such 3 characters can have the same secondary job simultaneously. Here is each guild where you can get the licenses for your secondary jobs:
- Apothecary Secondary Job: Apothecaries Guild
- Cleric Secondary Job: Clerics Guild
- Dancer Secondary Job: Dancers Guild
- Hunter Secondary Job: Hunters Guild
- Merchant Secondary Job: Merchants Guild
- Scholar Secondary Job: Scholars Guild
- Thief Secondary Job: Thieves Guild
- Warrior Secondary Job: Warriors Guild
- Inventor Secondary Job: Inventors Guild
- Armsmaster Secondary Job: Armsmasters Guild
- Arcanist Secondary Job: Arcanists Guild
- Conjurer Secondary Job: Conjurers Guild
How to Get EX Skills in Octopath Traveler 2
You have to visit the Altar that matches the character’s primary job to unlock their EX Skills. Altars work the same as how Shrines did back in the first game.
- Apothecary EX Skill: Altar of the Charitable
- Cleric EX Skill: Altar of the Flamebringer
- Dancer EX Skill: Altar of the Lady of Grace
- Hunter EX Skill: Altar of the Huntress
- Merchant EX Skill: Altar of the Trader
- Scholar EX Skill: Altar of the Scholarking
- Thief EX Skill: Altar of the Prince of Thieves
- Warrior EX Skill: Altar of the Thunderblade
