The Insomniac Games data breach has been massive and one of the new leaks that have hit the internet reveals the sales numbers for Sony Games including Bloodborne. This unfortunate ransomware attack not only revealed the studio’s plans for games in the next few years, details about the Wolverine game as well as employee records and more sensitive info – it also revealed the sales numbers of games from FY2021, FY2020 including God of War, Days Gone, Ratchet and Clank, Ghost of Tsushima and Horizon Zero Dawn.
The sheet that was shared on Resetera gives us a look into which Sony games have fared better than others in terms of sales. It has PS4 and PS5 game catalog data about Sell-In, Sell-Through, and Net Sales, and these game sales are counted as of February 2022. Plus, here’s even more Sony sales data that includes PC game ports.
This leak will be detrimental to Sony, and is a goldmine of information for competitors and consumers. If the document is a bit confusing to read, TweakTown has created a graph that will give you a clear idea about PlayStation’s first-party game sales.
The undisputed winner is Spider-Man with 22.1m sales, God of War PS4 comes next with 20.8m, Horizon with 19.2, Uncharted 4 with 18.6m, and Last of Us PS4 is next with 18.2m. Surprisingly, Death Stranding stands at the bottom, alongside Uncharted Legacy of Thieves and Predator: Hunting Grounds.
