You can use Runic Arts in Salt and Sacrifice to gain an advantage in fights. If you have played Elden Ring or Dark Souls 3 then you can recognize this mechanic as weapon skills. Runic Arts is a neat mechanic as it works because of the weapon you have equipped and not on your character’s class. So in this guide let us check how to use Runic Arts in Salt and Sacrifice.
How to Use Runic Arts in Salt and Sacrifice
You can use Runic Arts in this game by blocking and using the Attack button. Using these arts costs you either Rage or Focus Points depending on the art and the weapon you are using.
- Equip the weapon that you wish to use the Runic Art of and press L2 or LT on your controller to block.
- Next, you will see the Runic Arts highlighted on the top left corner of the screen.
- Most weapons have one Runic Art but some can also have two. Based on your weapon and the FP available you can press the Square or Triangle button on your PlayStation controller. Alternatively, you could also press the X or Y button on your Xbox controller for your PC.
The different types of Runic Arts
There are two types of weapons upon which these Runic Arts change.
- Magic Weapons: The arts used by these weapons cost Focus Points or FP and are shown by a blue bar. You can refill it by consuming Haze Decoction.
- Rage Weapons: The arts used by these weapons cost Rage and are shown by a red bar. You can refill it by dealing damage to enemies.
In case you see the bar but not the skill while using a weapon that means you are not skilled enough to use that art. To be able to use it you will have to upgrade that class at the Tree of Skill. You can check your weapon to learn what you need to upgrade in the skill tree.
- Open the Menu.
- Go to Inventory.
- Next, go to the weapons tab and select the weapon that you wish to learn about.
- Now press R2 or RT to learn about the class that you need to upgrade.
There are two types of Runic arts Divine Glyphs and Forbidden Glyphs. For using Divine Glyphs you should upgrade the class Glyphreader and for Forbidden Glyphs upgrade Banereader.
