You can get the Rover Drive from Wulfrum Rovers with a 10% drop chance in Terraria Calamity. Your best bet is to kill multiple Wulfrum Rovers at a time. This will increase your odds of getting the Rover Drive as a dropped item. Wulfrum Rovers are a Pre-Hardmode enemy that are found on the Surface during the day in Terraria.

The Pre-Hardmode is the initial state of the player’s world which is slightly easier. The world will be converted to Hardmode once you defeat the boss – Wall of Flesh. But your journey during the early stages of the world can be made a whole lot simple with the Rover Drive. Here’s how:

How Rover Drive Works in Calamity

Once you equip the Rover Drive, it will generate an energy shield around your player, granting 15 defense while active. The shield will only last for 10 seconds before it goes for a 20 second cooldown. As soon as 20 seconds are over, the recharged energy shield will automatically become active again. This accessory can come in clutch when you need to beat powerful bosses at the start of the game.

Another reason why you should get this accessory as soon as possible is to craft The Absorber. It is a Hardmode accessory that brings together the effects of all its component accessories when equipped.
