Can You Romance The Guardian In Baldur’s Gate 3?

Wondering if you can romance the Guardian in Baldur's Gate 3? Here's our guide on it.

If you wish to romance the Guardian aka the Dream Visitor in Baldur’s Gate 3, this guide will help you with all you need. During the entire Act 1, it seems that there would be no such option provided for this mysterious NPC. However, that is not the case and you will have some hands-on experience with the Guardian.

Since this NPC might be connected to the Mind Flayer Parasite that you consume at the start of the game, whether there will be any consequences for having a romantic relationship with them is still unclear. Nevertheless, if you want to do so, you will have to progress much further into the game.

Can you Romance your Guardian in Baldur’s Gate 3?

Yes, you can have a romantic relationship with this NPC. However, the option to romance the Guardian in Baldur’s Gate 3 won’t turn up until Act 2 or Act 3. Since you can fully customize the appearance of the Guardian in BG3, there was never really a doubt about whether you could have a romance with them or not. The only question was when and as you move quite later in the game, you will get the opportunity. Of course, you will have to play nice with them even though some characters in your party might not like it.

Since BG3 is incredibly huge, it’s not quite clear how the romance will work with the Dream Visitor. However, one thing is certain, if you keep the encounters positive and make the right decisions towards it, it will happen later on in Act 2 or Act 3. At the time of writing, we cannot pinpoint the exact timing when the option to romance turns up. However, as soon as we reach that stage, we will update this guide.
