Resin Clumps are obtainable via the Creaking mob in Minecraft’s Pale Garden biome and they can be used for crafting Resin Bricks. Getting these clumps can be tricky because the hostile mob can be quite dangerous to deal with, but once you know how to get to the Creaking Heart and the relevant Tree to collect them, you can farm this crafting ingredient quickly. How to Craft Resin Bricks in Minecraft
To obtain Resin Bricks, take x1 Resin Clump, use any fuel like Charcoal, and smelt it in a Furnace to get x1 Resin Brick.
If you don’t have enough Resin Clumps at the moment, head to Pale Garden at night, look for the Creaking mob, and attack it. A trail of orange particles will appear, leading you to the tree that contains the Creaking Heart. Go towards that Pale Oak tree and use your axe to hit it and collect the Resin Clumps. If you destroy the Creaking Heart, you will obtain some more clumps.
Now, head back to your Furnace and place the Resin Clump on the upper block. Any fuel is okay, so put anything you have (such as Charcoal) into the lower block. You cannot use the Blast Furnace for this purpose.
Resin Bricks can be used to give orange details to armor, and they can be further crafted to get Resin walls, stairs, slabs, and Chiseled versions.
While this is the easiest way to obtain Resin Bricks in Minecraft, you can also head to Woodland Mansions and loot for chests because they may potentially have them as well. This area is packed with various mobs and the structure is random so you need a strategy before starting your raid.
Raiding a Woodland Mansion
Here are some things to keep in mind:
- Equip yourself with at least iron armor, though diamond armor is preferable for better protection. A shield is essential to block attacks from Vindicators and other hostile mobs. Bring a bow with plenty of arrows; an Infinity-enchanted bow is ideal to conserve inventory space.
- A sword or axe with Sharpness enchantment will help dispatch enemies more efficiently. Consider bringing a bow with Power enchantment to deal with foes from a distance.
- Carry food to maintain health regeneration, healing potions for emergencies, and torches to light up the mansion’s dark interiors, preventing additional hostile mob spawns. Golden apples can provide critical health boosts during tough encounters.
- Before entering the mansion, set up a small base outside with a bed to reset your spawn point. This precaution ensures you can quickly return if you die during the raid. Include chests to store extra supplies and any loot you collect, allowing for organized inventory management.
- Illuminate rooms and corridors with torches as you progress to prevent hostile mobs from spawning and to mark explored areas.
- Tackle the mansion strategically, clearing one room at a time to avoid being overwhelmed by multiple enemies. Close doors behind you to control mob movement and prevent surprises.
- Explore the mansion thoroughly to find chests containing items like enchanted books, diamond gear, and other valuable resources like Resin Bricks. After clearing, consider repurposing the mansion as a base. Ensure all areas are well-lit to prevent mob spawns and customize it to your liking.
- Given the mansion’s distance from your original base, setting up a Nether portal can facilitate quick travel between locations. Linking portals in the Overworld and Nether reduces travel time significantly.
