How To Remove & Manage Garbage In Cities Skylines 2

Published Date :

While running a town in Cities Skylines 2, you will eventually gather up plenty of Garbage. This makes your citizens feel extremely unpleasant and reduces their happiness. After reaching a certain point, this factor will restrict you from leveling up. So you should know the best ways of dealing with the garbage and litter already. In our Cities Skylines 2 Garbage Management Guide, that is exactly what you will learn about.

Best Ways to Deal with Garbage in Cities Skylines 2

One of the biggest causes for high garbage production in Cities Skylines 2 is the low-quality buildings. These are the ones that do not carry out the industrial process thoroughly and ultimately end up spreading Garbage and Pollution. Your best bet to tackle this issue is by ranking up your buildings and infrastructures.

Best Ways to Deal with Garbage in Cities Skylines 2

Other than this, if you want to remove garbage quickly, then you can build the following facilities in your town:

Landfills

Just like in real life, you can dig a giant hole in Cities Skylines 2 and dump all the Garbage in it. But let me tell you that this isn’t a long-term solution to your problem. Once the hole is completely filled, it will spread a foul smell and create an unpleasant environment for the citizens nearby. However, you can extend the size of the Landfill but that will be a temporary solution as well.

Incineration Plant

This infrastructure is built to burn down all the litter (dry or wet) and convert it into electricity. While this will help you generate extra power to run the facilities, it will also create air pollution. If possible, I suggest you build an Incineration Plant far away from the colonies.

Recycling Plant

So far, this is the best way of reducing and managing garbage in Cities Skylines 2. Not only does this remove the garbage from the streets, but also recycles them into something useful. The best thing is that it does not cause any kind of harm to the environment.

That’s all you can do to remove and manage Garbage in Cities Skylines 2. For more such content, be sure to check out our dedicated section for Cities Skylines 2 Guides on Gamer Tweak.
