Rockstar Will Push An Update To Stop Red Dead Online’s Violent Players

"This place ain't no such thing as civilized. It's men so in love with greed it has forgotten himself and found only appetites."

Rockstar delivered the much anticipated Red Dead Redemption 2 which was received positively worldwide. The game features a band of outlaws and follows on their journey through ups and downs.  Although the game heavily features a violent gang there are moments of true nobility in the game where you can be better than what the game portrays you.

In Red Dead Online, players can form posse’s online and join other players in this Wild West dystopia, but it seems that some players have taken this to the next level. According to reports, Rockstar is ready to release an update on 26th of February which is set to introduce a whole range of new features, balances, and improvements.

The main focus of this update seems to be to curb down the excessive violent players in the game. Rockstar pays a lot of attention to its communities and this seems like a highly requested update.
This update will reduce the distance in which other players are visible in the minimap and anyone who is more than 150 meters away will not be visible unless they fire a weapon. Rockstar hopes this will help to bring down the behaviour of certain players who target players across the map and won’t let others share in the fun.

Rockstar further went on to say that your indicator will change colour depending on how violent your actions are going from blue to a darker shade of red. The developers said,

“Your visibility increases through bad deeds such as attacking and killing other players or their horses outside of a structured mode, Free Roam Mission, event or competition and the shorter the time between bad acts, the more your visibility increases.”

With this, the new Law and Bounty system will be based on how violent crime has taken place and will place the bounty on players accordingly if a player kills another player the bounty will see a high rise and harassing or disturbing others will have a less severe punishment. The game will also let NPC bounty hunters chase you down if your bounty is huge.
