When you use a Spirit transformation (the ability to shapeshift and use a Yaoguai’s ability) during battle, your character consumes Qi. However, if you don’t have enough during dire situations, you might wonder how to recover Qi fast in Black Myth: Wukong. Here are all the methods to get Qi back so you can take on enemies or bosses with more efficiency.
How to Recover Qi in Black Myth: Wukong
If you’re out of combat, you can rest at a Shrine to recover Qi fast, similar to how you would restore your mana. In Black Myth Wukong, there are 102 bosses so it’s a good idea to keep resting periodically to refill Qi fully and quickly. Remember to do this especially after you’ve equipped a different Spirit because doing so will drain your Qi completely.
And if you’re in combat and need to generate Qi, all you have to do is keep striking the enemy. It’s a much slower process, especially if you want to recover the bar completely.
The best way to manage Qi is to focus on dodging, parrying, and counterattacking first. This approach will help you preserve the resource and only use it when you really need it. For this purpose, players will need to understand their enemy’s attack patterns and find moments to deal serious damage with proper timing.
If the Qi cost of the transformation is low, it will recharge faster. And when it’s full, you can use Spirits by pressing L2 + R2 on your PS5 controller or the F key on your keyboard.
It is also possible to reduce the Qi cost for a skill, and that is possible by interacting with a Shrine, going to Self-Advance > Cultivate Spirits. Then you can hold the button prompt to cultivate it. However, the process also needs some resources like Will and Blood of the Iron Bull.
