How to Prestige in COD MW2 (System and Ranks)
Unlike previous COD iterations where you can hit the max level and start over from level 1, Modern Warfare 2 has a different system. COD MW2 now has a seasonal Cycle. That means, at the start of every new season your rank will reset. Right now, the max level you can reach in MW2 multiplayer is Level 55. These 55 levels are referred to as Military Ranks. You can earn weapon platforms, lethal/tactical equipment, perks, killstreaks, and field upgrades by leveling up. There are several ways you can rank up faster by gaining XP.
- Completing Daily Challenges
- Doing Spec Ops Challenges
- Double XP Weekends
- Climbing Military Ranks
To get the Prestige Rank in Modern Warfare 2, you must get Military Ranks (MR) till you reach level 55. Then, you can grind more to further unlock new ranks.
Season 1 Prestige Ranks
Here are Prestige Levels and Ranks needed to get them:
- Prestige 1: Unlocked at Rank 55
- Prestige 2: Unlocked at Rank 100
- Prestige 3: Unlocked at Rank 150
- Prestige 4: Unlocked at Rank 200
- Prestige 5: Unlocked at Rank 250, which is the level cap until the end of Season One.
