You can play in a team of 6 players, that is with 5 of your friends by creating a Party. And the best part is you don’t even have to create a guild to play with your friends. Your friends simply need to be on your Friends List. Here are the steps to play with friends on PoE.

  1. Open the social menu by pressing the S-Key on your Keyboard.
  2. At the bottom, you can find a section that says Friend Invite.
  3. In the textbox enter the name of your friend’s character and add them to your Friends List.
  4. If they are online you can click on their name to invite them.

When you follow the above steps you should be able to play with your friends. But if your friends are online and you can’t invite them, then chances are you might be slightly under-leveled. You need to progress alone till you reach the Lioneye’s Watch.

The advantage of playing with friends or multiple people is you get more loot and experience when you defeat them. But that doesn’t come easy, monsters are also stronger when you are playing in a party. But the best part is you can pick characters that support each other in your party through different skills and items.

That sums up this multiplayer guide on how to play Path of Exile with friends. If you like playing this game then be sure to check out our guide on how to download and install the Neversink loot filter for Path of Exile.
