How to Play Minecraft Multiplayer Split-screen
Here’s how you can enjoy the world of Minecraft with split-screen enabled on your respective devices.
How to Play Minecraft Split-screen on PS4 and PS5
To be honest, enabling Splitscreen on Minecraft is way much easier on PlayStation. To do so, simply start the game as usual and connect another control to the console. Further, you will get a prompt on the screen. After which, your friend needs to log in using a valid PlayStation account. If they don’t have an account, then they can play as a guest too. Once done, the screen will be split in half allowing you to enjoy the game with your friend. A maximum of 4 players can play Splitscreen at once.
How to Play Minecraft Split-screen on Xbox
The steps to play Minecraft Splitscreen on Xbox is similar to that of PlayStation. All you got to do is connect one more Xbox controller after starting the game. Now, once again press the prompt button to let your friend join the party successfully. Like on PS, 4 players can also be added to play Minecraft Splitscreen on Xbox.
How to Play Minecraft Split-screen on Nintendo Switch
To enjoy the split-screen experience on Nintendo Switch, each player must have their own Joy-Con controller. Get started by loading your world in Minecraft and connect the Joy-Con controller after that. Now, press the prompt button on the screen to join the adventure on the split-screen. Unfortunately, only 3 players can play Minecraft split-screen at once on Nintendo Switch.
How to Play Minecraft Split-screen on PC
The split-screen version of Minecraft is only available for Consoles and not PC. However, you can use Mods/Tools like Nucleus Co-op or Forge to play split-screen. Although, we do not promote modding by any means so do this at your own risk.
That is pretty much everything you can do to play Minecraft with Splitscreen enabled on Consoles and Desktop. While you are here, make sure to check out our other Minecraft Guides on Gamer Tweak.
