When Is Fortnite Coming Back To iOS Devices?

Published Date :

Since 2020, Fortnite has been out of Apple’s ecosystem due to legal disputes between the companies. This has led to massive outrage among the fans as the Battle Royale accommodated a lot of players from iOS devices. However, according to a cryptic Tweet made by Tim Sweeney on New Year, he hinted that Fortnite might be back on iOS in 2023.

Now that 2023 is about to end, players are still wondering when will they be able to play Fortnite on their iPhones and iPads. So here we are with an answer to this question.

Is Fortnite Coming to iPhones and iPads in 2023?

To be straightforward and honest with you, there is no news on when Fortnite will be available on the App Store. Both Apple and Epic Games have maintained silence on this topic. For now, it seems that there is some sort of legalities left and that is why the game is taking too long to re-release on iOS.

Some players think that in Tim Sweeney’s tweet, he meant the year 2024 and not 2023. That’s because the post was made on January 1. So there are chances that we can see Fortnite returning on iOS devices in the upcoming year.

Luckily, there is good news for players who desperately want to play Epic’s Battle Royale. There is a way through which Fortnite can be played on an Apple Device. Know more about it below.

How to Play Fortnite on iOS

To play Fortnite on your iPhone or iPad, you need to use a Cloud Gaming Service like Amazon Luna, GeForce Now, or Xbox Cloud Gaming. However, since they are all paid methods, you will have to spend some money to purchase their subscriptions.

One important thing to note here is that all your progress from before the game was banned will be transferred if you link your Epic Account. So you don’t have to worry about losing your Skins, V-Bucks, and all other saved data. Also, if you have a Dualshock 4 or Xbox Wireless Controller, you can simply connect it to your iOS device and start playing Fortnite. All the Cloud Gaming Services mentioned above support these controllers so keep that in mind.
