How To Grow A Palm Tree In Animal Crossing New Horizons

To grow a palm tree, you will require coconuts, and for that, you will have to use your Nook Miles and travel to the Mysterious island where if you are lucky, you will find a palm tree itself. All you have to do is, collect a couple of coconuts and return to your island. You can gather other resources if you like to but we’ll focus on palm trees and coconuts for now.

  1. Once you have the coconut, you will need to visit a beach on your island. Once there, dig up a hole and plant the coconut inside this hole. After this, you will need to wait up to 4 in-game days for the tree to grow. Make sure that you grow your palm tree only on a beach, it won’t work anywhere else.
  2. Once you have the tree, you can harvest the coconuts and after three in-game days, you can repeat the cycle if you so, please.
  3. You can sell these coconuts if you have an abundance of quantities of them for about 150 Bells more than other fruits, this will give you a bit more cash which will prove to be handy as you progress in the game.

Palm trees are also hosted to a lot of rare bugs and you will have to find them by checking each and every palm tree that you grow, the more trees you have the more chances you have of catching rare bugs like Horned Hercules and Horned Atlas. It also gives a much pleasing aesthetic to your island.

As you progress in the game, coconuts will be required for DIY projects where they become a necessary ingredient in recipes. Make sure that you have a couple of them lying around in case if you need them in a hurry.

Coconuts are also a good source of stamina, if you are low you won’t be able to get much work done but eating coconuts will give you much-needed stamina that will last you for a long time.

As with most trees, palm trees give out multiple types of wood that are useful in crafting, make sure that you do not cut down each and every tree with your ax and keep a couple of them for future harvesting.
