One of the toughest fishes to catch in this game is Rhizodont but doing so will earn you the coveted Fish of Legend trophy/achievement. Where to Find and Catch Rhizodont in Nier Replicant
To find this fish, players need to head to the Desert, specifically to the south west region on the map and use the Sardines bait. You will recall that you caught a Hyneria right here at this location. Do note that you need to have maxed out your fishing level to be able to catch this fish. You can do that by completing all stages of the Fisherman’s Gambit quest. Don’t forget to check out our specific fish catching guides that will save your time.
Keep in mind that you need to stock up on Sardines for a variety of fishes so while you are at it, get a lot of them for the Rhizodont. This fish makes a rare appearance so you will have to use Sardines multiple times. There’s a trick to know that the creature biting your lure is a Rhizodont or not. You simply have to focus on its pattern. The fishing rod will dip into the water two times, waits for a bit and then dips two times again. Keep an eye on this dipping pattern and you know that you’ve got to be prepared to catch Rhizodont in Nier Replicant.
Note that this fish won’t be an easy catch so when you struggle a bit to reel it in, it’s this one. Rhizodont has a lot of HP so you will need all your fishing skill for it. As soon as you catch it, you will get the Fish of Legend trophy and also, bragging rights!
