    No matter how much you love the fish that are currently available for catching, they will migrate. It’s just a part of nature, even in the world of Animal Crossing. But don’t worry, there will be new fish to catch soon. Keep reading this guide to know which fish to catch in May in Animal Crossing: New Horizons.

    New Fish Coming to ACNH in May

    Here is the list of new fish that you will see swimming in and around your island in May. You will get all the details of these new fish including shadow size, location, price and time for both hemispheres – north and south.

    Northern Hemisphere Fish for May

    Northerners rejoice! These awesome fish are going to be arriving at your island soon.

    1. Nibble Fish (located at the river)
    2. Mahi-Mahi (located at the pier)
    3. Giant Trevally (located at the pier)
    4. Rainbowfish (located at the river)
    5. Betta (located at the river)
    6. Angelfish (located at the river)
    7. Catfish (located at the pond)

    What is the Cost of Selling these Fish?

    • Cost of Selling Mahi-Mahi: 6,000 Bells
    • Cost of Selling Giant Trevally: 4,500 Bells
    • Cost of Selling Angelfish: 3,000 Bells
    • Cost of Selling Betta: 2,500 Bells
    • Cost of Selling Nibble Fish: 1,500 Bells
    • Cost of Selling Rainbowfish: 800 Bells
    • Cost of Selling Catfish: 800 Bells

    Timings and Shadow Sizes of these Fish

    From 4 pm to 9 am, you can catch Angelfish and Catfish. From 9 am to 4 pm, you can catch Rainbowfish, Betta and Nibble Fish. Mahi-Mahi and Giant Trevally will be available all day.

    Mahi-Mahi shadow size is huge, Giant Trevally will have a large shadow. Catfish will have large shadow whereas the remaining fish will have small shadows.

    Southern Hemisphere Fish for May

    Five new fish will be added – Tuna, Blue Marlin, Blowfish, Football Fish and Bitterling.

    Here’s where you can catch them:

    1. Tuna – located at the pier
    2. Blue Marlin – located at the pier
    3. Blowfish – located at the sea
    4. Football Fish – located at the sea
    5. Bitterling – located at the river

    Cost of Selling these Fish

    • Cost of Selling Blue Marlin: 10,000 Bells
    • Cost of Selling Tuna: 7,000 Bells
    • Cost of Selling Blowfish: 5,000 Bells
    • Cost of Selling Football Fish: 2,500 Bells
    • Cost of Selling Bitterling: 900 Bells

    Timings and Shadow Sizes of these Fish
    From 6 pm to 4 am, you can find the Blowfish. From 4 pm to 9 am, you can find the Football Fish.
    You will find the Tuna, Blue Marlin and Bitterling all day.

    The shadow of Blowfish will be medium and Football Fish shadow size will be large. Bitterling will be tiny. Tuna and Blue Marlin will have huge shadow sizes.
