All Of The Multiplayer Killstreaks In Call Of Duty: Vanguard

Published Date :

The new Call Of Duty: Vanguard is finally out and players can experience the WW2 World. Along with its release, COD Vanguard offers the Killstreak Mechanic in Multiplayer mode. Killstreaks function similarly to other COD games. In today’s article, I will explain what are Killstreaks in Call Of Duty: Vanguard.

What are Killstreaks in Call Of Duty: Vanguard?

intel killstreak

By definition, a Killstreak is an action when a player gets a certain number of kills in a row without dying. Most FPS games have Killstreak animations but COD does it differently. In Call Of Duty games, if a player gets a certain level of a Killstreak they will earn a special ability/equipment. This can be in the form of a really strong gun or the ability to drop Hellfire onto the enemies. In COD Vanguard, Killstreaks have more diverse options. You can get these tools from 3 to 10 Killstreaks and 12 Killstreaks. For every Killstreak, you will gain a certain Item, in Call Of Duty: Vanguard they are called Killstreaks, which will give you a tactical edge over the enemies in Multiplayer. The Killstreak items you can get are:

  • At 3 Killstreaks:
    • Intel
  • At 4 Killstreaks:
    • Care Package
    • Spy Plane
    • Counter Spy Plane
  • At 5 Killstreaks:
    • Glide Bomb
    • Mortar Barrage
    • WarMachine
  • At 6 Killstreaks:
    • Guard Dog
    • Strafing Run
  • At 7 Killstreaks:
    • Bombing Run
    • DeathMachine
  • At 8 Killstreaks:
    • Emergency Airdrop
  • At 9 Killstreaks:
    • Flamenaut
  • At 10 Killstreaks:
    • Attack Dogs
    • Firebombing Run
  • At 12 Killstreaks:
    • Local Informants

What can each Killstreak do?

flamenaut killstreak

Each of these Multiplayer Killstreaks in COD Vanguard provides either offense or defense support to the Player. Killstreaks like Intel and Local Informants reveal the location of enemies on the minimap. Local Informants is better than it as it reveals the enemies such that your allies can see them but Intel only provides it to the player who activated it. WarMachine, DeathMachine, and Flamenaut are guns with explosive firepower but have a set amount of ammunition. Except for the Flamenaut as it is a flamethrower with unlimited fuel; and can only be depleted by killing the player who wields it in Call Of Duty: Vanguard. Care Package and Emergency Airdrop are drops that provide more Killstreaks, Emergency Airdrop provides 3 Care Packages.

Spy Plane provides the positions of the enemies to you and your allies but it can be shot down. Counter Spy Plane from its name is designed to counter the Spy Plane, your and your allies’ locations will not be revealed but it can be shot down. Strafing Run, Bombing Run, and Firebombing Run are aerial support Killstreaks as they rain explosives on top of your enemies.

Guard Dog and Attack Dogs are canine friends that will support you in taking down the enemies. The Attack Dogs is a pack of 3 while the Guard Dog is a single friend. Mortar Barrage is like a homing Barrage of Mortar Shells. You place down a Flare Cannister and watch as the entire area gets decimated by a Barrage of Mortar Shells. Finally, we have the Glide Bomb which is a remote-controlled Bomb where you can drop on top of your enemies. It has a large radius so be careful where you drop it.

How to Equip Killstreaks?

This was all about Killstreaks in Call Of Duty: Vanguard. You can select what Killstreak you want by going into Multiplayer, selecting the Weapons category, and under that, you will find the Killstreaks section. From here you can equip the Killstreaks you want. Hopefully, this guide has helped you in understanding what Killstreaks are and what they can do.
