Morel mushrooms are a valuable and rare resource in Once Human that will come in handy in crafting recipes such as the Canned Seafood in Oil. This item has effects like +100 Energy, Stroke of Luck which gives a chance to get a 66%, 666% or 6666% yield bonus for the final strike while mining or logging, and it’s a long-lasting consumable.
As you’d expect, finding Morel can be trickier than locating normal mushrooms – here’s how you can make it easier.
How to Get Morel Mushrooms in Once Human
To get Morel Mushrooms, you need to first find Morel seeds that can be planted, grown and harvested in the farm at your base.
Finding Morel Seeds
Morel seeds are typically found in higher-level regions. Check storage areas, lockers, and crates for these valuable seeds – Morphic Crates could often contain Morel seeds, so be sure to explore thoroughly.
You have a better chance of finding Morel seeds near the 73 Source Extraction Point in Red Sands and Sunshine Farm in Blackheart Region. Mainly, look for Metal cabinets. Of course, be cautious before you head there, as these areas are populated by powerful enemies and if you don’t survive them the first time, work on your build and come back again.
Cultivating Morel Mushrooms
Make sure you have a farm ready to plant Morel seeds. You need a Planter Box, a Compost bin for Fertilizers (Yield Boost), clean water, Irrigation and the Growshroom deviant to get a better yield. Make sure to keep the box in natural light for this crop.
If you haven’t unlocked the necessary Memetics yet, go to the Cradle > Memetics > Logistics and unlock Dishes I, Planting, Compost Bins, Planter Boxes, Fertilizers I, and as you collect Ciphers and Energy Links, go on unlocking the higher tiers of Fertilizers and Grow Lights.
Growing these rare mushrooms takes time so with some patience, you will be able to unlock Morel Mushrooms in Once Human.
