You cannot add a fourth pitch to your ballplayer in MLB RTTS. This seems to have been a massive oversight on the part of the developers. Road To The Show has always been a fan favorite as it allows players to improve their character into a highly-talented Hall of Famer. However, with this new 3 pitch limit for RTTS, players are calling out San Diego studios. Other in-game modes such as the Exhibition, Diamond Dynasty, or Derby modes all allow you to experiment and play around with 4 types of pitches.
As to why you cannot add a fourth pitch to your ballplayer in Road To The Show has got us scratching our heads too. It makes sense, especially in a mode like RTTS where you can level up your player beyond some of the household names in the game. There isn’t even any workaround available for this issue in the game.
