You will get Marionette Core in Genshin Impact by defeating the Maguu Kenki boss that is Level 30 or above. Defeating it will give you this item as a reward drop.
Manguu Kenki is an Anemo element boss and you can find it in the islands of Genshin Impact. you can unlock it by completing the Dodo-King of The Sea: Lying In Wait quest. The best way to defeat Manguu Kenki is to use any character that has a melee attack as a fighting style. Long ranged characters will have no effect on it so do not use any of those characters.

Marionette Core Uses
Marionette core is basically the item that powers the Manguu Kenki boss. It is not used for any type of crafting. It is a character ascension material that is used after the characters have reached their maximum level up and you want further ascension of the characters.
You will require a considerable amount of Marionette core for ascension and hence a good trick to farm Marionette core is to defeat Manguu Kenk again and again until you get the desired amount. There has been speculation that Kazuha will require Marionette Core for the ascension.
