In Arcane Odyssey, Magic Synergies refer to how every magic type will interact with each other. Every magic type has an advantage, disadvantages, and neutrality against each other. Based on this Clashing Power, you can choose the best magic types for your build.
For example, if you choose Lightning, it’ll have a 1.3x Clash advantage against Shadow and Sand-type users. However, it’ll have a 0.9x Clash disadvantage against an Acid-type user. And it’ll be neutral against Ash, Fire, Magma, Poison, Glass, Crystal, Snow, and Earth.
Apart from Clashing Power, the magic attacks can also cause Status Effects. These will determine how much additional damage your other magic type will inflict on your enemies. Let’s continue with the Lightning Magic type’s example.
Lightning Magic causes the Paralyze effect if the opponent’s 33% HP is dealt with. This will temporarily stun the opponent. However, if the opponent is Soaked, which is Water Magic’s status effect, you don’t have to fulfill the 33% criteria. The enemy will be stunned instantly. Moreover, it removes the Frozen, Bleeding, Sandy, Charred, and Petrified effects. This means that each magic type is intertwined with another in some ways. So knowing which magic works best for you can turn the tide of the battle in your favor.
