In Diablo IV, you can interact with other players by using emotes, inspecting their character or even joining their team to take down hard-to-beat bosses. If you have just completed one such mission and want to leave the party in Diablo 4, it can be slightly confusing due to the number of icons you will see on-screen. The solution is to navigate to the Social menu via the Map screen. Here’s how.
How to Leave a Party in Diablo 4
To leave a party in Diablo IV:
- Xbox: Press the View button on your controller.
- PlayStation: Press the Trackpad on your controller.
- PC: Press the TAB key.
- This will bring you to the Map & Journal screen. Now, switch the tabs from MAP to SOCIAL.
- You will see the character name of the player whose party you have joined at the top left corner of the screen.
- Press the prompt on your PC/Console to Leave the Party. For Xbox, it is the X button and Square for PS. Press and hold the button and confirm this action.
- After a short loading screen, you will now see the “left party” message at the top left corner.
And that’s all there is to it. This is how you can leave a party in Diablo 4.
While at the Map & Journal screen, you can also select which main story mission or side quest you want to track. The Social tab is also helpful for more purposes besides leaving a party. You can enable voice chat by pressing the R stick on your controller. If you wish to add local players, you can also do so from this screen. Find a player and press Y on your Xbox controller to send them an invite. Once they accept it, they will be added as friends, and you can complete quests together.
