How to Save Last Of Us 2 or Restart from Last Checkpoint?

You can save your game anytime in The Last of Us 2. A common but useful habit of not losing your progress if something happens. So if you think you had achieved a milestone and want to save here is what you have to do. You can also begin playing again from the previous checkpoint if you think you are missing something.

How to Save Game In TLOU2?

While playing go to game Menu by pressing the Options key. You will see multiple options here. Select Save game to save the current progress. By default, your game will be saved automatically once you cross a checkpoint. For example, during the first chapter after Abby finds the horse’s footprints, the game continues with Ellie. So that can be counted as a checkpoint.

The saving game will help you to continue your progress, in case of power failure or sudden shutdown you will anyhow have to start from the previous check point. To be on the safer side and to avoid do everything once again go to the game menu and select Save Game.

If you choose Restart Checkpoint then the game will continue from the previous checkpoint. You might lose a lot of progress under this option. But it is useful only if you want to replay a mission. There are certain tips you must remember while playing TLOU2.

There is a crafting system that allows you to upgrade your weapons. By gathering them and taking it to the workbench you can make your weapon stronger. There supplements, health kits, etc. All these items will be lost if you choose to start from the previous checkpoint.
