    How To Increase World Tier In Diablo 4 (Change Difficulty)

    In Diablo 4 you can Increase your World Tiers to get better rewards and more XP. But that does come at a price, and that price is having to fight fearsome enemies. Don’t worry as you level up you will get better gear, which will allow you to handle them better. So without further ado, here are the 5 difficulty settings in Diablo 4 and how you can unlock and change them.

    You can increase your world tier using the World Tier Statues. Kyovashad has one of them, but you can also find one in other main cities. Aside from this, you can also directly start at World Tier 2: Veteran while creating your character. Initially, you only get two difficulty options, but by selecting Veteran mode you can unlock the next world tier. Lastly, you can also change your World Tier from the character select screen by clicking on the “Change World Tier” button on the right.

    The 5 World Tiers in Diablo 4 are:

    • World Tier 1: Adventurer
    • World Tier 2: Veteran
    • World Tier 3: Nightmare
    • World Tier 4: Hell
    • World Tier 5: Torment

    Here is how they affect your Difficulty and rewards.

    Diablo 4 World 1 Adventurer Difficulty Setting

    • Unlock by: Can choose this setting while creating your character.
    • Difficulty: Easiest enemies when compared to other tiers.
    • Rewards: Standard rewards.

    World 2 Veteran

    • Unlock by: Can choose this setting while creating your character.
    • Difficulty: Harder enemies than on the Adventurer tier.
    • Rewards:
      • 20% more Experience (XP)
      • 15% more Gold drop

    World 3 Nightmare

    • Unlock by: Beating the Cathedral of Light Capstone Dungeon on Veteran mode.
    • Difficulty: Harder enemies than on the Veteran tier.
    • Recommended Level: 50+
    • New Enemy:
      • Helltides
    • Rewards:
      • 100% more XP
      • 15% more Gold drop
      • Drop chance for Sacred and Unique items
      • Chance to receive Nightmare Sigils (use them to unseal Nightmare Dungeons)

    World 4 Hell

    • Unlock by: Beating the Fallen Temple Capstone Dungeon on Nightmare mode.
    • Difficulty: Harder enemies than on the Nightmare tier.
    • Recommended Level: 70+
    • Rewards:
      • 200% more XP
      • 15% more Gold drop
      • Drop chance for Ancestral and Unique items

    World 5 Torment – Hardest Difficulty in Diablo 4

    • Unlock by: Beating the Archives of Issalia Capstone Dungeon on Hell mode.
    • Difficulty: Harder enemies than on the Hell tier.
    • Recommended Level: 70+
    • Rewards:
      • More than 200% XP
      • 15% more Gold drop
      • Ancestral and Unique items drops
