TOTK: How To Repair Weapons Or Increase Durability?

Updated Date :

One of the biggest problems many players had with Breath of the Wild was that its weapons broke and with its sequel many are hoping that the game gets rid of it. But even though weapon durability is still here, there is now a way to at least increase it in Legend of Zelda Tears of the Kingdom and this is what you need to do for it. Also, find out if you can repair weapons in TOTK.

How to Increase Weapon Durability in Tears Of The Kingdom (TOTK)

Repair Weapons in Legend of Zelda Tears of the Kingdom

To increase weapon durability you should use a strong base weapon and fuse it with any gem. The rarer and more valuable the gem the higher its durability will be. So typically you should try fusing Zonai weapons with Diamonds. Any weapon made of these should last a long time before breaking.

But if you don’t happen to have the above gems then you should still follow the rule of having a strong base weapon. Another thing to keep in mind is that the second weapon that you fuse it with also matters because your base weapon will take in its attributes. So if you choose to add a decayed weapon to a good base weapon. Then while its damage may increase its durability will reduce. Similarly, if your base weapon is weak but the one that you add is stronger then it will improve its durability a bit.

A quick tip to use your weapons for longer is to not fuse them until they flash red. When they start flashing red it means they are about to break. Now fuse them with another weapon or a gem and it will improve its durability.

Can you Repair your Weapons in Zelda TOTK?

No, just like in Breath of the Wild, once your weapons break in Tears of the Kingdom (TOTK), they are gone for good. And there is no option to take it to any sort of crafting table or using rupees at a weaponsmith to get it repaired. Once it breaks you will need to find another weapon and use that in its place.

The only thing you can do closest to repairing them is fusing them. Use the above tricks to make them last longer.

With that, you should be able to increase your weapon’s durability in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom and not have to worry about them breaking easily. For more help on this game check out our guide on how to get Paraglider.
