If you have played a fair bit of Hogwarts Legacy, you must have unlocked the ability to use Ancient Magic but wondering how to increase the Ancient Magic meter? This guide will go in-depth on everything that you need to know. Let’s take a look at Ancient Magic and how to upgrade its capacity.
How to Increase the Ancient Magic Meter in Hogwarts Legacy
First, make sure you have Ancient Magic unlocked. This happens fairly early in the game so it shouldn’t be a problem. After that, progress further and learn the spells required to start the next few quests. This will lead you to Percival Rackham’s Trial quest. During this quest, you will be explained about magical swirls around the world. It will be explained that these are remnants of ancient magic. These are Ancient Magic Hotspots and they are spread out all over the world of Hogwarts Legacy.
Find Ancient Magic Hotspots
You need to find these Ancient Magic Hotspots and solve their puzzle in order to increase the capacity of your Ancient Magic meter. These can be found around places like ruins and other such structures. Stuff like this is what makes exploring fun and engaging in Hogwarts Legacy.
When you stumble upon one, you will usually have to do a little puzzle to get it. These puzzles are reminiscent of the challenges in Merlin Trials. This can include having to fight enemies so be ready for some combat.
You will need to collect 3 Ancient Magic remnants that will spawn around the area once you activate the puzzle. Using the Revelio spell can make it easier to find them all. After you have collected them, they will now count towards the Ancient Magic Hotspot progression in your Field Guide. Completing this progression path in your Field Guide is how your Ancient Magic meter capacity gets increased.
