The second stamina system does not let you interact with girls. Whenever you ask them a question, you will have to give them a gift or else their stamina will go down. This forces you to find out the right time to have a talk with girls, to give them gifts or to go on a date.
If you are on a date, I highly recommend focusing on one girl, so the other girls will have full stamina, which allows you to focus on connecting Tokens for her and then move on to the other girl.
During the game, you will come to a point when none of the girls will have any stamina left, making it impossible for you to talk to them or give them gifts. When this happens, get inside the hotel room and take a nap.
