You will need a Rope Gun to use the Zipline in Sons of The Forest. It is also known as the Zipline gun as it helps you descend from heights safely and quickly. Using it is quite simple but if you have not played The Forest before, you might struggle. Here are the steps on how to use the Rope Gun:

First, ensure that you have the Rope Gun equipped in your inventory. Then, head to a cliff or any location which will allow you to create a downwards Zipline. Now, aim your Rope Gun to where you want to go. Once selected, press the left mouse button to shoot. Doing this will mark your first anchor point. Next, aim your Rope Gun slightly above to where you’re standing to place the second anchor point. You will now have the perfect angle you need to slide down using the Zipline in Sons of The Forest.

Now, all that you have to do is slide down towards your desired location. You will need to walk towards the point of line nearest to you and simply press the “E” key. Doing this will immediately make you slide down to the lowest point which also happens to be your desired destination. Once you have landed, press the “E” key at the anchor point to retrieve your Zipline Rope. Since Rope gun ammo is scarce, you must ensure that you conserve them wherever possible.

That is all it takes to use the Zipline in Sons of The Forest. In the meantime, you can check other guides like how to build stairs, how to craft a Molotov & how to get the Stun Gun in our Sons of The Forest section on Gamer Tweak.
