In Metro Exodus Sam’s Story, your Carrier Vest not only gives you protection but it also acts as storage to carry explosives like Molotov, Cans, Consumables, Grenades, etc. Explosives are called throwing weapons in Metro Exodus Sam’s Story, and the basic carrier vest that you unlock during the start allows you to carry a limited number of items. But there is a free upgrade that will allow you to double your stocks. That means you can carry more consumables and throwing weapons in Metro Exodus Sam’s Story.
How Carry More Consumables & Explosives In Metro Exodus Sam’s Story DLC?
There are four throwing weapons in Metro Exodus Sam’s Story DLC, each one offers you distinctive features from distracting enemies to causing high damage. When you unlock crafting for the first time after meeting Tom, the basic vest allows you to carry 1 item of each category. Below is the list of all throwing weapons in Metro Exodus Sam’s Story DLC.
- Throwing Knife – Stealthy short-range weapon, take down enemies quietly.
- Decoy – Distract enemies by throwing empty cans.
- Hand Grenade – Powerful explosive to take down enemies from distance.
- Molotov Cocktail – Bottle filled with gasoline, burn down the mutants.
With basic carrier vest, you can carry few, but if you grab the vest upgrade you can carry two of them allowing you to target a bigger group of enemies. So here is what you have to do to unlock the vest upgrade in Metro Exodus Sam’s Story DLC.
Visit the building as marked on the map and show it in the second image below. This is the same place where you will find Night Vision in one of the rooms on the upper floor. Go inside and take our boat inside this building and look on the left side.
In the water, there are wooden planks you can walk over it, crouch and cross the small entrance and then take the stairs on your left. Go up and look the vest upgrade placed over a red chair. On the wall, you will also find a weapon upgrade. Now you will have to find a crafting bench to equip the vest. For this exit the building and look on the right an old flooded house on your left. Enter through the first window on your left as you park the boat. Cross the lobby and the second locked door has the crafting bench.
Upgrading the Carrier Vest will now allow you to double your stock. This is how you can unlock the Vest upgrade in Metro Exodus Sam’s Story.
