With the launch of Diablo 4 open beta weekends, many players are wondering whether they can respec and how to do it. Veteran Diablo players know the importance of choosing the right skills for their build. There are a plethora of skills to choose from. So there are chances of mistakes happening while choosing a skill. Moreover, players may also want to try out all of them. If you too are curious about how each skill works, then you should know how to reset skill points and ranks. And this guide will tell you all about it.
How to Respec in Diablo 4 (Reset Skills & Ranks)
To Respec in Diablo 4, simply open your Skill Tree and hit “Refund All” at the bottom of the screen. This will reset all of your skills and you will receive your skill points back.
Moreover, the game also allows you to reset a single skill. To do so, simply hover over that skill and right-click on it. The game will refund your skill point. However, there is a catch. The skill tree has several branches. You cannot refund a skill that has dependencies. If you want to reset a skill that has several other skills ahead, you must reset those skills as well.
Now, this is easier said than done. Because on higher levels, if you want to respec, you’ll have to spend Gold. In the Open beta, you can respec for free till Level 7. Once you cross that, the price of resetting points drastically increases. And it keeps increasing as you go higher. According to a developer, this softblock is added to the game to make players value their choices. That means you can respec, but not several times in a day. You’ll have to plan your Gold budget before doing so.
