Updated Date :

Animal Crossing New Horizons focuses a ton on customization and it looks like there is no end to the limits, from shoes to backpacks and more the personalization never seems to end. With so much to do, people have been wondering if it is possible to rename the island in Animal Crossing New Horizons. This guide will show you if you can rename your island in Animal Crossing New Horizons.

How To Rename Your Island In Animal Crossing New Horizons

Sadly, as of right now there isn’t any way to change your island’s name in Animal Crossing New Horizons. When you start your game and choose the location of your tent, Tom Nook gives you the chance to name your island.

This is your one and only chance to give a name to your island, you can only use ten characters to pick a name and that will be final.

There isn’t any indication given by the developers if future updates will allow players to rename the island but if a lot of players start asking for this feature, maybe Nintendo might give in and let players change the name.

But, if you really want to reset your island’s name the only option you have is to reset the entire progress of the game. Starting again will delete your progress but let you select a name once again.

This method isn’t recommended if you have progressed significantly, but if you are determined to change the name of your island, this is the only way.

This is all there is to know about how to rename your island in Animal Crossing New Horizons.
