How to Heal in Atelier Ryza 2
To heal while you are in battle, you need a healing item like Grass Beans. For that, you must learn the Grass Beans recipe and then use the pot. Make use of Medicinal, Flowers and Edibles to synthesize Grass Beans. You will find these materials during your exploration.
While you are adding your materials, know that the quality matters. And after making Grass Beans, you have to head to the Core Item tab in the Main Menu and click on the character you want to equip this healing item. Then put it in the slot and use it to heal in Heal in Atelier Ryza 2 during battle.
Do note that you need Core Charges if you want to use a Core item and you get Core Charges by using Skills. You will have to use some attacks and combos to get yourself some Action Points which will let you use a Skill. If you have enough Core Charge, simply choose the healing item of your choice from the items menu and use it to heal.
As you keep playing, you will need better healing items so keep doing that as you progress. But if you want to use an item multiple times, you have to only make it once.
