Animal Crossing New Horizons players will have to find a specific merchant in order to get shoes and socks, if you really want a pair of fresh sneakers you will have to find a merchant named Kicks in Animal Crossing New Horizons.
Though the only negative part of this is that you will find him randomly and there is no set schedule for this particular merchant, what is certain is the fact that not only do you get access to new shoes and socks but you can also get your hands on tights, and leggings too.
In total there are about 11 different things that you can purchase from the Kicks merchant, but for this merchant to apply his trade to your particular village, you will have to upgrade the Resident Services Building.
Once you do this you will get access to more merchants that will come by the Event Plaza building and set up their shops giving you more options and having a good trade that will keep your economy booming.
Once you purchase any item you can equip them by pressing A, cycle over to whatever item you wish to have on and then pressing A will get your character equipped with that particular item.
