Now that Fisch has brand new locations (Second Sea), there are various new rare fishes as well, including the Sea Leviathan. Its rarity is Exotic, which makes it a tough catch, requiring plenty of luck. Here’s everything you need to know about adding it to your collection.
How to Catch the Sea Leviathan in Fisch
The Sea Leviathan can be caught from the Open Ocean location and the best bait for it is the Shark Head. This is a mythical bait that can be obtained from Quality Bait crates in Terrapin Island.
Thankfully, any time and weather is perfect for it, however, it has higher chances of appearing during Winter and Spring seasons.
Upon hooking the Sea Leviathan, you will see a colorful exclamation mark indicating that it’s an Exotic catch. It will also inflict a -80% progress speed so make sure you choose a fishing rod with high Resilience and good Control. Unfortunately, you cannot reduce the progress speed with Enchantments or passives of rods.
You can use the Ethereal Prism rod, Heaven’s rod or the Poseidon rod with an enchantment to boost the Resilience stat even more. Combined with a good Control stat, you should be able to reel in the Sea Leviathan relatively easily.
Players can use Totems to spawn the Sea Leviathan, but note that the game will not tell you if it has spawned. It will mark the area where it has spawned, visible if you have the Fish Radar. One such location is near Emberreach.
In terms of C$ earned, you can get around 14,000C$ per catch and your XP can get boosted by 15K with it as well. So all in all, it’s a valuable Exotic fish to actively try to catch in the game.
