You will need scrap to repair your motorbike on the go, every time you see the health bar of your motorbike go below 20% it is recommended to attend to it at the soonest. Similarly, you can also repair melee weapons in Days Gone but you will require the Field Repairs Skill before you do so. Scarp will also aid you to craft various weapon which makes it a valuable commodity.
How to get Scrap in Days Gone
The fastest way to collect scrap is by checking cars, you will usually find about 3-5 pieces of scrap from every abandoned car that you find in the game. Scrap is easily found in the game and you can also find it out in the open world by investigating buildings or by just taking down an enemy and looting their things.
There is an endless supply of scraps in the game, so you do not have to worry if you were not able to get it from a particular spot you can also check other areas.
You cannot loot the same car, again and again, to gather scraps though, the respawn points of scrap are random and you will have to explore the entire area.
How to Carry more Scrap
By default the game allows you to carry up to 10 pieces of scrap from the beginning and if you feel that you need to have on you at all times then you can unlock the skill ‘Carry That Weight’ which will help you carry more things when you venture out in the open world.
