In order to catch the Red Goldfish, you will need the fishing rod. Let’s take a look at how to get the Fishing Rod in Persona 4 Golden.

How to Get the Fishing Rod in Persona 4 Golden?

Visit the Samegawa Riverbank and talk to the elderly man there. He will ask you for a Fishhook, so your next mission will be to find one because eventually he will give you the fishing rod.

Visit the Tatsuhime Shrine in the afternoon time and talk to the child who will be standing there. He will ask you to get him something; like a food item or a drink. Fulfill his requests to get a Tatsuhime Ladybug from him.

With this Ladybug, go to the Shiroku pub at night and speak to the lady. She will mention the Ladybug, so go ahead and give the bug to her. Then, she will proceed to feed her fish who will provide the fishhook you are looking for. She will also give you bread crumbs which will be quite handy for fishing.

Now, go back to the elderly man at the Samegawa Riverbank and give him the fishhook. He will be very pleased with you and will hand over a River Rod (Fishing Rod) to you.

Fishing for Red Goldfish

Once you have the Fishing Rod with you, start fishing with the help of bread crumbs. This will attract the fish you are looking for. The Red Goldfish in Persona 4 Golden will be very useful to earn some gems by giving it to the Lady in White at the Tatsuhime Shrine.
