Published Date :

Animal Crossing New Horizons is all about creating perfect communities and one of the key aspects of the community is the people living in it. Likewise, you will need new villagers to come to your island and call it home. This guide will show you how to get more villagers to your island in Animal Crossing New Horizons.

How To Invite and Get More Villagers To Your Island

Animal Crossing has always had a high focus on building a utopian society, but you create this you will require people, who live around you and share some of the same interests. Animal Crossing New Horizons works kind of the same way but this time around, things have been changed slightly.

There are few ways in which you can get more villagers to your island, earlier games used to have a house pop up randomly and people would simply come and call it home.

Talking to Villagers on Other Islands

One of the easiest ways to get more villagers is to simply invite them to your village, early on in the game when you get free Nook Miles from Tom Nook, use this to explore random islands, and the one you land on will probably have a lot of resources as well.

Make sure that you talk to every villager you find there and invite them over to visit and live on your village, this is the easiest way to get more villagers. However, they won’t simply pop over.

Quickly Get More Villagers In Animal Crossing New Horizons

Once you go back to your own island, Tom Nook will provide you with recipes and tools to create more tents for more villagers, you will also need to decorate them with furniture and do the best you can to make it a cozy home for someone to live in.

Using the Campsite

After spending around a week in Animal Crossing New Horizons, Tom Nook will offer you the recipe to build a campsite, you will then require to place this tent kit on your island somewhere and it takes around an entire day for it to be built.

Once the campsite is up, you will see random villagers pop up in your village, you will get notified by Isabella as to who is visiting your campsite during your morning briefing.

Talk to these random villagers and they will tell you how much they like your village, once you set up a house for them, they will become permanent residents of your village.

Getting Specific Villagers to Move to Your Island

Though getting villagers seem random at first you have a lot of say on who gets to live on your island. If you want a specific guest on your island you will require their amiibo figure or amiibo cards.

Once you have the amiibo card or figure, you can then use it on the terminal in Resident Service Center and placing it against your Nintendo Switch will get them to your campsite.

Once there you can now talk to them and invite them to live on your island. This is all there is to know about how to get more villagers in Animal Crossing New Horizons. Do check our other ACNH Wiki Guides, Secrets and Tricks only on Gamer Tweak.
