Fortune Coins are event currency in Genshin Impact that are tied to Lantern Rite Event. They are used to purchase characters, skins, primogems and materials. Fortune Coins will be unsable after the event ends, so there is no logic in saving them. You can access the Event Shop and purcahse new items using Fortune Coins. Play Mini-Games
You can earn these coins by completing Lantern Rite Mini-Games. Finishing all stages at once is the fastest way to farm Fortune Coins. Below are some of the mini-games you can play. If you want unlock big rewards then it is necessary to complete these mini games.

Treasure Trees
There are around 21 trees in Liyue Harbor region. You can destroy every tree to collect Fortune Coins. They can be hidden in walkways, rooftops, etc. You can use Xiao or Wanderer to collect them fast. There are 21 trees and each tree has around 40 coins. When you spot one just destroy it collect the coins. Here are some navigation pointers that will help you to find these treasure trees.
- North Harbor Entrance → check bridge + stalls area
- Bubu Pharmacy zone → right side of entrance
- Government building area → multiple trees nearby
- Teahouse roof + plaza walkways → often hidden vertical spots
- Dock guard posts → trees near water edges
- Crafting / teleport hub → usually 1 nearby
Trees are mostly clustered in high NPC area or where you can see lot of festival deocrations. They are not visible on quest markers. Manual exploration is the only way to find each and every treasure tree. Here are some of the most common places where the tree is located.
- Near NPC clusters
- Near festival decorations
- Near rooftops / vertical paths
- Near bridges & choke points
Below is the location some of these trees you can find easily in the game.
- Bulletin Board – 40 Fortune Coins: Look for the bonzai tree on the left of main Bulletin Board in the Liyue Harbor area.
- Chuyi – Hostess of the Yanshang Teahouse: The second tree is on the left side of Chuyi’s teahouse.
- Granny Shan’s Shop: For the third tree walk towards Granny Shan’s shop. Look near her shop, the tree is right behind the decorative items.
- Tai’s Shop: Tai’s shop in the alley behind Granny Shan’s shop. The bonzai tree with fortune coins is place on the left of Tai’s shop.
- The Food Cart: Walk sough from Tai’s Shp and take a left turn from the fountain. You will see a food cart. Just look opposite and the next set of Fortune Coins is sitting outside a house near wooden stairs.
What You Can Buy With Fortune Coins?
If you have around 1000 Fortune Coins you can buy a 4 star Liyue Character. Or you can purchase Yaoyao Outfit. Each of these cost 1000 coins. Also you can buy Primogems, Crown of Insight, upgrade materials, etc. Priotize buying Limited Skins or Characters first. They will give you an unique identity in the game. Keep materials as the least important items in the list.
