Frostspike is a legendary, limited-edition crop in the Grow a Garden game that is sought after for being multi-harvest and because it’s available only under special conditions. It belongs simultaneously to the leafy, woody, and prickly categories, which makes it useful for various upcoming events. Visually, it stands out with blue and white petals, surrounding a central area that looks like ice. Here’s how to obtain the seed of this crop.
How to Get Frostspike in Grow a Garden
What makes Frostspike particularly rare is that its seed becomes obtainable only during the “Frozen Ice King” weather event, which is a special or admin-triggered event. To obtain a seed, players must perform a ritual of sorts:
- Behind the Event Hub, five sacrifice platforms appear, and players must offer crops of divine, prismatic, or transcendent rarity. Once all five platforms receive acceptable offerings, an announcement happens, and the Frostspike seed is given to participants.
In terms of value, Frostspike has a high floor price (around 40,000+ Sheckles) and an average market value near 45,000 Sheckles. Its weight attributes are also favorable: a price-floor weight of about 3.80 kg, an average weight of 4 kg, and a minimum possible weight around 2.80 kg. The chance for a “huge” Frostspike (i.e., oversized yield) is 0.40 %.
Because it is multi-harvest, one planting will prove to be useful over time, which is perfect for players who want to keep a neat but high-value garden.
What players need to consider is the tradeoff. The Divine or better crops used for the sacrifice may themselves be valuable. You need to decide whether giving them up is worth the potential long-term gains of Frostspike. However, if you’re focused on obtaining all the limited-time crops, you might not want to miss out on this one!
