While the basic glider is good, if you want to frequently navigate the Northern Summit region, you need the Advanced Glider which is much faster than slow walking across it. Reaching the specific area without losing oxygen and freezing your character can be confusing, so here’s a guide that explains the path and the items you need to get there.

Where to Find the Advanced Glider in Fisch
The Advanced Glider can be found in Glacial Grotto (GPS coordinates X: 19986.6, Y: 1042.2, Z: 5742.7) and to access this area, you need a Beginner Oxygen Tank (don’t waste your money on the Basic version) and if you already have the Winter Cloak, even better.
- So, get on your boat, sail towards the Northern Expedition island, and get through the portal.
- Take the left path and climb the ladders along the way. The ladders will show you the path forward so keep going until you reach Overgrowth Caves.
- After you proceed to a certain point, two bars will appear next to your character. The orange bar indicates heat and the blue bar indicates Oxygen. You can boost your temperature by standing next to a campfire and purchasing the Beginner Oxygen tank to get Oxygen. When you run out, you can refill it at a camp ahead.
- To get to the Advanced Glider, take the set of ladders on the opposite side. You cannot take a break or make a mistake because the temperatures will drop rapidly. Make sure to talk to the Innkeeper and set his location as your spawn point so that you don’t have to climb all the way up for this again.
- Keep going until you see a narrow pathway with icy spikes in front of you. Turn left from here and climb the ladders you see along the way.
- Follow the path until you see a bridge. Cross it and turn right. There should be a big green bush there.
- Walk ahead, cross the ladders that connect and you will find yourself in Frigid Cavern. There are some more ladders to climb, after which there will be another orange tent which is your sign to refill your oxygen and reheat yourself.
- And right opposite to the campfire is the Summit rod. Climb the ladders on the right and get to the tents on top to purchase the Winter Cloak. This will make navigation much more stress-free because your temperature won’t drop. Also, buy the Intermediate Oxygen Tank for 10,000C$ to make survival easier as well.
- For the Advanced Glider, go back from the path you just came from, across the bridge, and climb the ladders. Soon, the Cryogenic Canal location text will appear — keep going further up. Finally, you will be in Glacial Grotto.
- Look for the tents for the campfire and Oxygen refill and get the Advanced Glider in Fisch from here as well. It will be next to Hiker #10 and it costs 2,500C$.
