The Mosasaurus is a Mythical fish added after an update that added a brand new island to Fisch. Since it’s a very rare fish and a huge one at that, it will be a challenging catch if your fishing rod doesn’t have high resilience, control, and max weight stats. Here’s what you need in terms of bait, fishing rod, weather, time, and season to have the best chance of finding a Mosasaurus.
How to Find and Catch Mosasaurus in Fisch (Location)
Mosasaurus can be caught from Ancient Isle and most have found it near the waterfall areas. It is a marked island that can be spotted when you’re on a boat. However, your journey toward the island can be tricky because various dangers will spring up along the way.
You have to dodge spikes, bombs, and whirlpools after you see the warning message “The sea is dangerous. sail with caution.” If your boat finds itself in a whirlpool, it will sink instantly and you will have to use your diving gear to swim towards Ancient Isle, depending on the distance. However, if your boat comes in contact with a barrel or spike, it will lose HP.
When you’ve successfully reached Ancient Isle, wait for nighttime or speed up the process by using a Sundial totem. Since you also need Foggy weather, you can use a Smokescreen totem to trigger it. Lastly, any season is ideal for catching it.
The best rod to catch the Mosasaurus in Fisch during mid-game is Steady Rod, and any good rod like the Rod of the Depths, and No Life Rod can be useful to reel in this massive fish. It will also apply a -75% progress speed decrease which makes the choice of your fishing rod very important. Using the
Truffle Worm bait will grant a better chance of getting this creature as well.
