Catching bugs is a huge deal in Animal Crossing New Horizons and even though it is such a huge part, the game doesn’t tell you how to catch a specific bug until you have already caught it. This guide will show you how to catch the peacock butterfly in Animal Crossing New Horizons.
Where to Find Peacock Butterfly in Animal Crossing New Horizons
Peacock Butterfly is one of the most beautiful looking things in the game and they can earn you up to a whopping amount of 2,500 Bells just for catching one. This means that there is a pretty penny associated with catching these critters.
The Peacock Butterfly will not, however, spawn randomly in your village, it has a specific place and time for which you will have to wait patiently.
The Peacock Butterfly only comes around in the month of March to June in the northern hemisphere, and from September to December in the southern hemisphere.
They will only show up from morning 4 am to 7 am, this gives you a tiny little window to catch them, even more, these Peacock Butterflies only spawn near hybrid flowers, so make sure that you have created a garden of hybrid flowers to attract them.
Once you see them spawn, all you have to do is take out your bug-catching net and swing it by pressing A on your controller.
Catch as many as you like and you can then earn up to 2,500 Bells for each Peacock Butterfly that you catch.
