How To Beat Mister Negative In Spider-Man 2

Updated Date :

One of the most challenging battles in Spider-Man 2 is the climactic boss fight against the Mister Negative. As the man responsible for devastating Miles Morales’ life by killing his father and unleashing Devils Breath, Mister Negative has earned Miles’ vengeance. You will need to utilize all of Miles’ abilities and skills to overcome Mister Negative in Spider-Man 2.

Tips to Defeat “Martin Li” Mister Negative in Spider-Man 2

The Guide Defeating "Martin Li" Mister Negative in Spider-Man 2

Mister Negative has many powerful attacks that can take you down quickly if you’re not careful. However, you can overcome the villain by utilizing Miles Morales’ unique abilities and staying aggressive. Martin Li’s battle is split into three phases.

Dodging

In phase one, focus on dodging Martin Li’s low sweep, dash attack, and lightning strike using the prompts from your Spider-Sense. When he uses his projectile attack, this leaves him open for a few hits with your Venom Jump or Chain Lightning. Get his health into the red to advance.

Using Thunder Burst

Phase two adds new challenges – dodge tornado sweeps through the gaps and use your Thunder Burst when Li activates his negative energy dome. Beyond these new threats, Li continues assaults from Phase One with increased ferocity. Maintain focus, rely on your Spider-Sense, and search for slim openings to deal damage.

Dodge and Counter

In the final phase, Li will combo all of his moves chaotically. You’ll need to rely more on perfect dodges and counters than ever before. Pay close attention to visual and audio cues to avoid each attack.

If you take damage, don’t panic – just keep moving and find an opening. Your main priorities are surviving Li’s onslaught long enough to chip away at his bar steadily. Venom Jump, Web-Strikes and Chain Lightning can dish out big damage when used together.

If you follow the above steps, you will be able to beat Mister Negative in Spider Man 2. While you are here, make sure to browse through how to increase focus fast and all map locations in Spider-Man 2, available here on Gamer Tweak. You can also check out our Spider-Man 2 section.
