How to Tame Andrewsarchus in Ark
Andrewsarchus in Ark is an Omnivorous Mammal and requires a lot of effort to tame. However, if you still want to give it a shot then here’s what you need to do –
- Once you manage to locate one Andrewsarchus, make sure that there are no Carnivores in the area. If there are, wait for them to pass or kill them. Things could take an ugly turn if you are not patient.
- The only way to distract this creature is with Giant Bee Honey. We recommend you carry at least 6-8 pieces in case it avoids a few. Throw the Giant Bee Honey in front of it and try to stay out of sight.
- Once it goes to eat the Honey, pounce on it from behind and click the arrows displayed on the screen. The Taming percent will be mentioned at the bottom of the screen.
- Make sure you mount off Andrewsarchus before the taming effectiveness reaches a hundred percent. It will be displayed in red, right under the taming percent. If you don’t mount off, you will be thrown from the creature’s back and might sustain damage.
- Rinse and repeat the process, as many times as it takes. You will manage to tame it in the end.
You can also use a Harpoon and net to catch them and force tame them if you have the option to do so.
