BG3: How Many Acts Are There In Baldur’s Gate 3? (Answered)

Published Date :

Since Baldur’s Gate 3 is so long, players are wondering how many acts are there in the game and how to tell which act they are in. While the first answer is not really that difficult, the second answer can get a little complicated to explain. The game does not have any set mechanism yet that will help them identify these acts are which one they are currently in. Hopefully, our guide will clear all doubts you have on the game so you can focus on playing.

How many Acts are in Baldur’s Gate 3

How to Tell what BG3 Act You are in

There are currently 3 Acts in Baldur’s Gate 3, and if the developers decide to add more, they will have to do so through DLCs. However, even though the game has only three Acts, the play time of BG3 is quite huge and according to Larian, it will take at least 75-120 hours for players to finish the game. Considering that there are numerous side quests for players to try out, it might be even longer than that. According to the developers, the second act is the longest one and the third one is the shortest since it wraps up the story.

How to Tell what BG3 Act You are in

While it is quite difficult to identify which act you are in, players have identified three locations that can be identified as a beacon to which act you are in. Once players reach the Moonrise Tower, the Act 2 of Baldur’s Gate 3 begins and you can use the Baldur’s Gate town as the beacon for Act 3. This way players can tell which act they are currently in. Hopefully, the developers introduce a systematic method that allows players to identify it easily.

That’s all we have on the Acts in BG3. If you found this guide useful, check out our dedicated section for more such BG3 Guides here at Gamer Tweak.
